    United Utilities Better Rivers programme: automation, process control and monitoring systems for combined sewer overflow

    Actemium was appointed by international civil engineering contractor Ward and Burke to deliver three control and automation packages for United Utilities (UU) as part of its £3 billion 'Better Rivers' programme. Across two West Yorkshire sites, the projects focused on Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) screens and detention tanks-critical assets that protect receiving watercourses during heavy rainfall events.
