Actemium has supported the Electrical Distribution Network Upgrade Project (EDNUP) at Sellafield since 2018, working within the Infrastructure Strategic Alliance alongside Arup and Morgan Sindall. Providing SQEP electrical design and technical expertise, the business has modernised critical power infrastructure on site - improving resilience, reducing risk, and ensuring long-term security of supply.

Actemium UK has delivered two new ultra-rapid EV charging hubs for IONITY in Glasgow and Fort William - including the installation of IONITY’s 700th ultra-rapid charging point in the UK and only the second public 350kW+ charging hub in the Scottish Highlands.

Drawing on its extensive experience in engineering LV distribution and switchgear for the public sector, Actemium delivered a future-ready power solution for a new net zero carbon primary school. The system improves energy performance, reduces running costs, and includes smart metering to support BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standards - while providing flexible infrastructure for future growth and supporting wider community decarbonisation.

Actemium UK has been awarded the contract to design and build a new Distributed Control System (DCS) for the Waste Packaging and Encapsulation Plant (WPEP) at Sellafield Ltd.’s nuclear waste processing and decommissioning site in Cumbria. The project brings together mechanical, automation and electrical engineering expertise from across the UK business to enhance nuclear safety.

Catalent Pharma Solutions is a global leader in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, producing billions of life-enhancing treatments each year across more than 40 sites worldwide. At its Swindon facility, where around 1.2 billion freeze-dried tablets are produced annually, Actemium delivered critical electrical infrastructure to support the site’s manufacturing operations.

Actemium UK has delivered Moto CHARGE’s second ultra-rapid EV hub in Reading, following the handover of the Toddington site in late 2025. Both sites feature three ABB 400 kW chargers, as Actemium continues to support the network’s expansion across the UK.

Harries Automation and Control (HAC) and Switchgear Services (SGS), two established UK switchgear specialists, have rebranded as Actemium Switchgear Llanelli and Actemium Switchgear Exeter, marking their integration into the Actemium network and strengthening Actemium UK's portfolio of switchgear solutions.
