To support nuclear waste material retrievals at Sellafield’s Magnox Swarf Storage Silo in January 2024, the onsite Retrievals, Innovation and Optimisation Technology (RIOT) team worked with Actemium and Fortis to create and deploy a custom sonar system that safely inspected waste compartments in low-oxygen conditions.

When Yorkshire Water decided to create a natural wetland to treat water before it flows back into the River Dearne, Actemium’s automation engineers stepped in with their systems integration expertise. Actemium has successfully completed the installation of landside electric bus fast chargers in front of Birmingham Airport Terminal. In addition, Actemium installed ABB rapid chargers in the Airport Coach Park all intended to supply the new fleet of all-electric Volvo buses – one of the first projects of its kind in the UK.
