For the 18th consecutive year, Cougar Automation has received a top honour from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for their long-standing health and safety record and practices.

Actemium Automation Teesside have been contracted to commission the automation systems at the Woodsmith potash mine in North Yorkshire, owned by Anglo American, a leading global mining company.

Cougar Automation North have been successful in winning the next phase of the control system upgrade at Breedon's Hope Cement Works, the UK's largest cement plant. Located near Hope in Derbyshire, the plant has been in operation for more than 80 years employing over 200 people and has the capacity to make around 1.5 million tonnes of cement each year.

High Speed Two Ltd (HS2 Ltd) has released an Employee and Industrial Relations (EIR) Code of Practice for HS2, Tier Contractors and their supply chains. This has significant advantages for Joint Industry Board (JIB) members Actemium and other companies looking to work on HS2, which is one of the most exciting and demanding transport projects in Europe.

In support of Armed Forces Day on Saturday 26 June 2021, Actemium UK have honoured our Armed Forces community, which is made up of veterans and reservists who have played a key role in keeping the UK safe.

For the fifth year running, our Health & Safety Team has won the RoSPA Gold Award which has landed them the prestigious RoSPA Gold Medal Award! Actemium UK received this internationally-recognised award for demonstrating high health and safety standards by working hard throughout 2020 to ensure its staff, customers, clients and contractors all got home safely to their families at the end of every working day.

As Actemium UK, part of VINCI Energies UK & RoI, announces that all company cars within its industrial business units will be going fully electric, we find out from the organisation’s director Andrew Hunter how this switch was made possible.

The Actemium UK Industrial Perimeter’s business units are phasing out all diesel and petrol company cars in favour of full EV alternatives. Within four years, the switch is expected to reduce the perimeter’s carbon footprint by at least 44%.
