Actemium drives global manufacturing excellence for leading heavy vehicle brand
Actemium has supported a global agricultural and construction vehicle manufacturer transform the way its vehicles are configured, validated and prepared for market - ensuring every vehicle leaves the factory digitally ready, fully activated and built to the highest quality standards.

What began nearly 20 years ago as a single deployment has grown into a trusted international partnership spanning 12 countries and 15 production and logistics sites. Today, Actemium’s vehicle testing and programming expertise underpins consistent quality across multiple sites part of the manufacturer’s global network.
Project Overview

Client Relationship: Long‑term partnership
The Client & Their Requirements
Actemium’s client is well-known international leader in agricultural and construction machinery, supplying equipment to over 160 countries through an extensive dealer network. Their vehicles – including tractors, combines, and advanced precision‑farming machines – rely heavily on digital systems and connectivity to maximise productivity, tracking and smart decision making.
To maintain quality across such a large global footprint, the client needed a consistent way to configure, check, and track the software and telematics systems installed in every vehicle, regardless of where it was built.
The Challenge
The client required a single, reliable approach to:
- Ensure every vehicle is built with the correct software and system settings
- Maintain uniform quality across multiple international sites
- Reduce delays on busy production lines
- Provide full traceability for service and warranty support, and
- Roll out updates efficiently across global facilities
They also needed a long-term partner able to support multiple sites and rapidly respond to operational changes, including the capability to deploy systems remotely when on‑site access was restricted.
The Solution
Actemium delivered a standardised and easy-to-use global solution built around its STRATUS platform.
The system supports the full vehicle journey – from preparing electronic units before assembly, through to final validation checks at the end of the production line. Vehicles are automatically configured with the correct software, customer-specific features are activated, and all key data is recorded for traceability.
Importantly, the approach reduces pressure on assembly operations by preparing components before installation, helping to prevent production bottlenecks.
To accelerate global rollout, Actemium also introduced remote deployment and commissioning, significantly reducing installation time and cost while maintaining consistent standards across all sites.
Actemium has delivered the solution across the UK, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Turkey, Czech Republic, China, Japan, Indonesia, USA, and India, with each site benefitting from a tailored support contract, ensuring rapid assistance within agreed SLAs.
The Results
The programme has delivered measurable operational benefits to the client as outlined below:
- Reduced production line disruption with fewer software delays
- Greater global consistency in software configuration across the 15 locations
- Improved quality and traceability with centrally stored, audit‑ready data
- Faster after‑sales issue resolution through instant visibility of activation status and configuration history
- Quicker, more cost‑effective deployment enabled by remote commissioning
- Continued technical support and ongoing enhancement of the STRATUS platform
“Actemium’s long-term relationship with the client has resulted in a dependable, globally consistent programming and validation solution. With nearly two decades of continuous improvement, the STRATUS platform continues to adapt to new technologies and changing manufacturing needs – supporting reliable operations across the client’s worldwide network.”
