Data capture of sub-component parts is a crucial element of the manufacturing process where validating the correct selection of parts is critical. This solution allows for the scanning of component parts assisted by graphical user prompting in a package combining a wireless 2D barcode imager and “wearable” barcode printer. The barcode printing is for component group validation later in the build process where sub-components may no longer be accessible. This solution fully integrates with the Stratus7 software infrastructure for central database storage and build information retrieval.

The 2009 Vinci Innovation Award winning rugged, multi-protocol/channel, wireless interface enabling vehicle communication without the need for hardwired connection to a tester. It provides a cost effective alternative to long, unsightly, high cost cable runs between vehicle and test computer. Click on the play button to see the nomination video.

This evolution of the unit above allows operators to perform production line vehicle testing from simple fault code reads through to simultaneous flash programming of multiple ECUs with just the one handheld device – no requirement to carry around separate barcode readers, computer systems & displays.

Vi-Multi embraces all of the functionality and flexibility of our older track based solutions in a mobile format suitable for rectification. This station has multi-test functionality and provides guided fault resolution based on the vehicle on-line history leading to improved quality control and resultant cost and efficiency savings.
